Jacob Onesti Hatley WI Obituary Accident Death – Beloved Jacob John Onesti Has Died
Jacob was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family. He built his life around the people he loved, and his wife, Rebecca “Becky” Szews, and their children, Levi and Cain, were at the center of it. He married Becky on June 21, 2014, at St. Florian’s Catholic Church in Hatley, beginning a shared journey that became one of the most meaningful parts of his life.
Outside of work and family life, Jacob loved being outdoors, especially elk hunting, traveling, and camping with his family. He also treasured time spent playing baseball and riding bikes with his son Levi. Those simple experiences reflected the close bond he shared with his children and the memories they created together. Among friends and family, he was affectionately known as “the deer skinner,” a nickname that became part of the story people will remember about him.
For the past ten years, Jacob took pride in owning and operating Onesti Custom Tile. His dedication to his business reflected his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for those closest to him. He is survived by his wife and children, his parents, siblings, extended family, and many others whose lives he touched. His sudden passing leaves a deep absence, but the love he gave and the memories he created will remain with those who knew him.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jacob is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026, at St. Florian’s Catholic Church in Hatley, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions toward his children’s college fund. As his loved ones gather to honor his life, may they find comfort in one another and in the many memories of a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
