Julio Raymundo Ramos Dover Suicide, Death Obituary – Student At Dover High School Is Dead
Born on March 12, 2011, in Nebaj, Quiché, Guatemala, Julio was the beloved son of Juana Ramos Cabo. Though his life was brief, his obituary describes a young person who made a lasting impression through his leadership, enthusiasm, and the love he shared with those around him. His family and friends are now left to cherish the memories they created together.
Music held a special place in Julio’s life. He enjoyed singing from the age of seven, playing the piano, and participating in dance competitions during his school years in Guatemala. His Catholic faith was deeply important to him, and he especially loved singing hymns and religious songs. After moving to the United States at age 12, he also developed an interest in basketball. These passions reflected the interests and experiences that made his young life distinctive.
Julio’s death has also affected the Dover High School community, where counselors and additional emotional support have been made available to students and staff. School officials have encouraged families to talk with their children, check in on one another, and seek support from trusted adults during this difficult time. His passing is a painful reminder of the importance of listening to young people and ensuring they know they do not have to face difficult emotions alone.
Julio is survived by his mother, Juana Ramos Cabo; his stepfather, Tomas Ramirez; his sister, Magdalena Jehilin Linzy Ramirez Ramos; his grandparents; and a wider circle of relatives who will continue to hold him close in their hearts. A funeral Mass is scheduled for October 31, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover, followed by burial in his beloved homeland of Guatemala. May his family, friends, and classmates find comfort in their faith, in one another, and in the memories of a young life that meant so much to them.
